1. Place the border tape against the edge of the bathtub to measure it without removing the protective adhesive strip. Cut it off with a sharp knife. It is best to measure the tape for the longest side of the bathtub first.
2. Fold it in half so that the side with the glue is on the outside - this gives the tape a configuration that is convenient for gluing.
3. Remove 10 centimeters of protective film.
4. Glue the tape first in the corner, driving it tightly into the corner between the bathtub and the wall - press it well first to one surface, and then to the other.
5. Now, gradually removing the protection from the tape, centimeter by centimeter, glue it all over without leaving any residue – pay special attention to the gluing force. The harder you press, the better the tape will stick.
6. We also tape the short sides of the bathtub in the same way - in the corners we overlap the tape one on top of the other.
7. After everything is glued, take a sharp knife and make 45-degree cuts in the corners - cut two strips at once from the corner to the bathtub.
8. Leave the bathtub (or rather the seam sealed with self-adhesive bathtub tape) alone for 24 hours - during this time, water getting on the tape is strictly unacceptable.

After a day, you will be able to fully use the bathroom and not worry about water spilling on the floor.
There are a few more rules that need to be taken into account.
The tape must be installed at a temperature not lower than +10˚C.
You need to install a tape that is not expired - usually its shelf life is 2 years. A very important point is that it does not freeze during storage in the winter. Also, it is better not to buy a tape in a damaged package - it has probably lost half of its adhesive properties.
The tape should be applied to a dry and degreased surface with alcohol – it is better not to use a solvent. It is harmful both to the tape itself and to the bathtub, especially an acrylic one.
